Public radio reporting students interview workers

As part of the final class meeting, graduate students in JOUR 523 got the chance to talk to some of the “behind the scenes” people in the construction of the building to put a name and a face to the people making the new Annenberg building a reality. Instead of using their normal recording kits, students tried a variety of new audio recording technologies including smart phone apps, shotgun microphones, and digital SLRs.

Their impromptu on-site interviews included safety inspectors, roofers, plumbers, schedulers, and more. Students will be editing down the pieces and they will be posted on the construction blog.
