After lifting the last rebar and sheet metal to the fourth floor, the large crane is scheduled to be removed this weekend.

First floor wrapped in green tarps for fireproofing

The first floor is shrouded in a set of green tarps since fireproofing of the exposed steel structure should be underway soon. The tarps are necessary since the fireproofing is a gypsum-based plaster that is sprayed into place.

Teams of welders are hard at work throughout the building, from the top of the peaked roof to the basement you can see their bright torches and sparks.

Pumping concrete for the second floor

Teams of workers maneuver the heavy piping carrying the cement from the cement trucks at ground level. This pipe is clamped together with heavy-duty clasps that have to hold up to the pressure necessary to pump the viscous concrete.
